RBSBT
again, and I are few, our team has completed the journey this year of 761 km, which has led us from the Pyrenees to the Catalan coast watching the birds most Catalan (and other vertebrates as well) in 24 hours.
This time we want to present to the members of this team understand 2011 that has achieved a commendable mark given the difficulties in preparing the event calendar for various reasons, among others.
- For the first time in the history of RBSBT, and hopefully not the last, a lady has been part of our lineup, this time listed as 'driver', responsible for recording observations and all the necessary and important organization 'live, from Barcelona, biologist Carolina Garcia.
- From Sant Carles de la Rapita, Tarragona, armed with the latest technology allowing us to not get lost along the way, know the weather live among other things, knowing every inch and every way of 'les terres de l'Ebre' and new consumer of energy drinks, Joan Antó .
- From Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Barcelona, rather than expert bander, rarities committee member of SEO-BirdLife, field man for sure, eye and ear to Vizor, Sergi Sales .
- And from L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona, engaged in the strategy to follow, gps in hand, and the repair shop after their break-telescope in hand and giving the roast suckling pig, Ricard Gutiérrez.
2011 Team members want to express our special thanks to members who could not participate, Armand particular branch could yet contribute to the preparatory phase. We also thank the encouragement and cooperation rendered prior to all persons who have demonstrated their interest, support, and support. You know who you are!
;-) We also reiterate our appreciation to our main sponsor, Leica DISEFOTO . Importantly, the quality of the optics that we use is crucial to obtain results in the twilight and night observation, vital moments to reach the marks that we have obtained recently. We have compared with other optical and not be the same.
As usual we will discuss shortly chronicle of what happened to us this marathon, whose end we almost made the nerves more than one, but had, we believe, a reward unthinkable, both in quality and detail of the observations and the circumstances which I will comment soon here. At the moment, by restrictions on the event rules, we can not say much more.
Thank you for your support and interest.
